Why teams back up Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 is not a backup
Under Microsoft's shared responsibility model, Microsoft keeps the service available, but protecting your data is up to you. Deleted items expire, retention policies are not point-in-time backups, and a removed licence can take a mailbox with it.
Backup247 connects through the official Microsoft Graph API with admin consent. We back up every message in its original format, calendars and contacts, encrypt each snapshot and store it in the EU.
Restores are always additive: data comes back into the original mailbox in a new folder, so nothing that exists today is overwritten.

Doesn't Microsoft back up my mailboxes?+
Microsoft protects against outages, not against deletions or mistakes. Deleted items expire and retention is not a point-in-time restore.
Who can connect Microsoft 365?+
A Global Administrator or Privileged Role Administrator of your tenant. It takes about a minute.
What is backed up?+
Mail with attachments, calendars with event attachments, and contacts, for every mailbox with an Exchange Online licence.
What is not backed up?+
Archive mailboxes, Microsoft 365 Groups, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams are not included yet.
