Why teams back up Google Workspace
Google Workspace is not a backup
Google keeps the service available, but protecting your data is up to you. A deleted message is gone after 30 days, a departing employee takes their mailbox along, and exporting files now and then is not a backup strategy.

Doesn't Google back up my Workspace data?+
Google protects against outages, not against deletions or mistakes. Deleted mail is removed permanently after 30 days and there is no point-in-time restore.
Who can connect Google Workspace?+
